Sport PB ingredients...

Sport Fitness
i jus bought myself PB... not sure if its good n natural.. there isnt written anything like Natural n stuff.. but i had to buy this as this was the only one available...

Ingredients: Roasted Peanuts, sugar, hydrogenated vegi oil, salt :/

its labeled as "Peanut Butter Chunky" by some co. called CROWN (US)

and is it a good PWO snack? .. i.e. jus after ur workout (say after 30mins) ?

w33d.

No that is BAD stuff due to teh Hydrogenated oils.

the ONLY PB you should eat will contain: Peanuts, salt. Nothing more. sometimes there's not even any salt.

NEVER should there be added sugar, preservatives or oil.

Lastly, PB is NEVER a good PWO snack because PWO you want simple carbs and protein, zero fat, since it slows digestion at a time where you want to digest as fast as possible.

thanks for the helpful fact :-D

k thanx.. i`ll look for that one.. n get this one changed =) this one is of no use? i mean wot will this one do as compare to Natural one?

Any examples of simple carbs n proteins?... apart from supplements.. if u can list a few?

simple carbs are more or less sugar. some sugars are complex carbs, and those are ok for post workout nutrition (like potatoes, dextrose and malto-dextrin).

there are no 'simple proteins'. there are complete proteins that have all the essential amino acids (any animal based protein source will be complete), which incomplete proteins are missing one or mroe aminos (plant based protein is incomplete).

you must pair two complementary incomplete proteins to create a complete amino profile: example red beans and brown rice together create a complete protein source.

skull is correct, almond butter has a little better fatty acid profile as compared to peanuts.

finding it locally, for less than an incredible price...could be hard. i stick to PB, and whole almonds to offset the cost.

try the fridge case, near the butter. Smuckers natural is with the normal PB, but many other brands are kept cold their entire life, like the brand I get (simply called 100% ALL Natural Peanut butter...I think its regional)
