Pain in Chest from Creatine

Every once in a while I get a weird feeling in my chest that last for about 30 seconds to a minute. I think it is from taking creatine pre-workout products (NO Xplode, Rush, Supercharge, etc.). The pain isn't very serious at all, just doesn't feel right. Does anyone else who takes these types of products ever get chest pains?

I'm a healthy 21 year old without any conditions or anything (as of my last check-up 6 months ago).

I'd dump those products and try *just* plain creatine.

Agree with DEF, the No explode etc products are just stimulants full of sugar and caffene. You'd be better off with a coffee or a red bull. Save your money.

Yeah, nothing you mentioned there is a 'creatine product'. They contain some creatine, but those are all "NO/NO2" products with added stimulants.

Toss them. Buy 100% pure micronized Creatine Monohydrate, preferably with the CreaPure processing logo (both AtLarge Nutrition and Optimum Nutrition use CreaPure processed creatine)

should cost $16 for 500grams. any higher and you're throwing money away on inferior stuff.

Ok thanks. I think I'll try out pure creatine once my container of Rush runs out. I was under the impression that they had a lot of creatine in them plus a bunch of other stuff.

some do have enough creatine to 'count' as a serving. but many of them, Like NO Xplode, don't use creatine monohydrate, which is teh MOST researched and MOST proven form. I think Xplode uses creatine malate or citrate, which hasn't got much evidence of working, let alone working better than monohydrate like the marketing ads claim.

Remember, the FDA doesn't regulate this stuff, so the claims the supp makers make aren't monitored or fined as long as the product contains the disclaimer about the FDA not approving any of the claims.

Most supps are crap. Only a handful actually work as claimed and none of them are miracle pills. They will support your hard work, but that's about it.
