pain in calf.

i just started running again becuase i am starting my cutting cycle, now that I got up to 180, and i stretch really good in the mornings after drinking a small glass of orange juice (empty stomach) and i usually run for about 3-4 miles i guess i run moderate pace and it takes me 30 min to get from town to my house. my mom drops me off in town every morning (to start one way only) and

the problem.. the front of my calfs on the insides , the middle, there is a pain in the bone, mainly my left but some on right. when i am running fast or moderate whatever i dont feel it at all, but when i get done running and walk inside its pretty bad and it goes away after like an hour about. is this bad? will it go away after i run a bit more?

if it's the bone it might be a shin splint. basically a tiny fracture on the shin itself.

get it checked by a doctor, and then make sure you have a good pair of running shoes which you got fitted by a specialist store. regardless of how many miles you are doing, they will correct any flaws in your running style and ultimately save you from getting injured in the future.

If feels like its in or around the bone then I agree it sounds like a shin splint to me too. How long have you been feeling this?

Are you sure its in the bone? I highly doubt it if its in both legs. It would be a hell of a coincidence if it is. More likely its your Tibialis anterior.

Its very common for this muscle to hurt when running. Its the muscle that lifts up your feet and toes to get your heel down and stop you from landing flat footed. It will hurt less if you get some good running shoes and improve your technique. It usually aches because your tensing the muscle too much on each stride.

Also... Dont stretch before you run, especially 1st thing in the morning. Have a good warm up and strech after your run. Streching a cold muscle will only damage it, like stretching a cold rubber band. make sure you muscles are warm before streching.
