P90x

Just started p90x.... First day I done arms and shoulders which mainly weights... To start what would you guys recommend?? 10kg dumbells? I'm average bodybuild and do have strength just want to do it right and build up properly over 90 days...l I hope that makes sense...

Does the exercise programme not recommend a starting weight? If not then go for whatever weight tests your strength/fitness so one that the last few reps of each set is hard.
 
When in doubt, start too light, with weights that allow you to complete the workout. Next time you can go a little heavier and see how you handle it.
 
You can start with 10 pounds . From my experience P90x really wasn't about strength training but more overall cardio fitness. It isn't really going to compare to a bodybuilding strength training routine.

I usually use P90x but I haven't been to the gym in a while and want to build a base foundation before going hard with weights at the gym.
