P90X Diary

Hey forum i'm just looking for tips on how to make my experience better, and if there are any good habits that may help get the weight off. I've started to take the black on blue series of VPX. I'm not sure if thats a supplement that may help or hurt my routine. What do you think? Also check out my video below, i'll be posting daily videos on my channel check em out and i'll also be posting them on the forums here.

Welcome! I'll be watching this.

People like me are interested in what you did that day (e.g., 5 sets of 10 pullups, 25 pushups, whatever) and your insight (e.g., 5 sets of 5 pullups was too easy, I'm going to 5 sets of 6 pullups, or the 1 minute planks are too hard and I need to break them up into 2 30second planks). Then we can check up on you, praise you as you make progress and scold you if you slack off.

Just did YOGA X, I have done yoga in high school as a PE credit, and this was nothing like high school. I've been pretty much the same size all through high school and into my college years, but this was one exercise after another. I had great difficultly doing a few poses, but I noticed my arms were feeling it also, I was sweating more than usual compared to the other exercises. I definitely warm-up and loosened up as the exercise progressed and found myself more flexible by the end of the workout. The repetitive astanga movements kicked my ass with plank after plank. I could do them successfully but my arms and chest were burning. Next time i'll try to do push ups during plank perhaps that may help. I found the more movements there were the easier it was to stay balanced.
DIET: VPX, and half of a fiber bar. lunch:Half of a tuna salad sandwich on ezekiel bread. Dinner: TBA probably sushi.

I'm trying my hardest to stay focused on the workouts. I am doing other workouts also like running a few miles, and anything i can get my hands on really. I suppose my greatest fear isn't pushing myself hard enough. I have never been a serious athlete, so i am very new at this.

To motivate yourself, if that is your concern (as it is to the vast majority who take up fitness in January), register for a sprint triathlon or 5k road race 4 months from now and post that on your facebook page and let all your friends know about it. Fear of failure is a strong motivating force.

I want to see more vlogs. Just seeing a written statement of what you've done on any given day isn't nearly as involving as seeing/hearing you say it. So there's some motivation for you...keep training so that I can keep watching you talk about your training.

Also, if you slack off, the terrorists win.
