Hi, my name is Autumn,
Background: 35, 5 kids, 3 jobs.
I need help where to start or find the time. I know it has to be possible.
I had twins 6 months ago, I work as an air traffic controller for the faa, i do accounting and paperwork for my husbands company 3 days a week (he works too much to give me time to myself) and I am starting a campground business. Before the twins I was working out and lifting weights 2 a day and doing great. But now I can't seem to get back on track. I have a trip booked the first week of October to the Caribbean and I need to lose the 40lbs i gained with the twins. They are still not sleeping through he night and I am so exhausted and can't seem to figure out when to try and get in a workout, I started eating vegan 4 days a week. Please help me, any advice or tips welcome

welcome to the WLF! I hope you find the support you are looking for here! You really do have your hands full don't you! I'd start with keeping a log of what you eat. Find out what your average calorie intake is. I know I tend to eat almost 3000 cals a day when I'm off track. So since I've just recommitted to weight loss I personally am going to stick to 1600-1800 cals for the 1st couple weeks and then go down to 1400-1600 after that for a few weeks until I get down to about 1200 calories. Good luck you can do it!

Hi Autumn,
6-month-old twins, a full-time job, part-time paperwork duties, and a new business, and three other kids.
I'd suggest locking yourself in the closet and meditating for 20 minutes to settle yourself down and figure out what to do with your life of overwhelm. I say this with love. I was there - total stress and overwhelm, not realizing that I had brought all of it upon myself by not saying NO.
I literally sat in my walk-in closet and meditated, every day, for at least 20 minutes. You start to do things differently.
No one can help you fit a weight loss plan into your schedule until you calm all of it down.
Hope this helps you.
~ Allison

Hey Autumn, What do you think you can do to slow things down so you can have a bit of time to yourself each day? What are some things that could provide you a sense of calm and be relaxing for you, even if it's just for 5 or 10 minutes? How can you relieve some of the pressure in your life so you can have some peace? ~ Allison

Stress is a killer for trying to lose weight. The stress hormone cortisol has been shown to up appetite, drive cravings for “junk” food, and make it oh so much easier to accumulate belly fat. I agree with Allison, find some time to unwind each day.

Hi Momchoms,
Maybe I can make some suggestions. Some people handle stress better than others and I assume you are one of those people. ATC is stress enough.
Do have a journal or do you schedule your day or do you just live life off the cuff. Having a time budget plan relieves of lot of "get it done" stress. You could setup a plan for your everyday activities (scheduled by the hour). That way you can carve out time for you to gather your thoughts and time to execute an eating-exercise plan (for weightloss). I would also suggest considering outsourcing your husbands bookkeeping until things settle down. Set your priorities, faith (if applies), family, job (this is suggested of course) once you set your priorities. STICK TO IT don't waiver and of course your husband will be involved.
Hope I'm of Some Help
Kevin David
