Overweight and need help

Hi, i am 15 and overweight, not obese, but i would like to tone my pectoral muscles...and get rid of my man-breasts...i can dedicate a lot of time to this ans am willing to try anything...i have a weight bench and i can get access to pretty much anything, please help me...i want to look and feel better about myself.:(

my name is dustin, I am 16, and have been both power and mass training for 4 years. my max bench press is 265lb and I weight 175lbs. I to was a bit overweight at onetime, last summer, and what I did to loose it was rather simple, very fatiging but it worked, I lost 30lbs in 2 months. a good way to loose weight is to use a exercise bike, a sitting down seeted type, and my routine was 6 miles and try to make it under 16:00 to 19:00 minutes and do this for a couple of weeks every day, and slowly get faster and faster, it will burn alot of calories and fat, plus weight training on the side will help, while doing the weight loss do sets of 7-8 reps to tone muscles, if you are just starting weight lifting keep the weight kind of low, or low enough to make at least 3 sets of 9-10 reps do that for about 3-4 weeks and slowly move your self up gradualy, I am glad to help you in anyway I can, because I know how you feel, I wasnt out of shape before I lost the weight but ill tell you what, you will have much more stamina after doing so for a couple of months. but make sure not to loose to much weight, that could be bad for you. but try the advise I gave you and see how you like it. if you have anymore questions please email me at dustin1087@yahoo.com I am allways glad to help, and make freinds

oh and one more thing, make sure to vary your weight lifting routine and take a couple day breaks or if needed dont work so hard one or two days out of the week to give your muscles a break well take it easy

Many people on this forum undoubtedly have experience losing weight. The underlying factor in all of it is motivation. Anyone losing a substantial amount of weight will testify. You have to set realistic goals. Try teaching yourself to think in small progression. I believe many people step into a gym and after seeing minimal results in the first few weeks, lose their zeal. Keep your head up. Any results -- even small -- is one step closer to looking and feeling better. Understand it will take time. Lots of it.

and remember that if you do start weight training...your scale weight may increase...but this is a good thing...read through the forums and remember its bodyfat not bodyweight that counts!
