Overnight Weight Loss? How the heck..

Hmm, it's a surprise that such an inoffensive observation by Gladiator42 should generate quite so much excitement.

He was surprised that so much weight was somehow lost overnight and so was I when I first noticed it. But then I haven't spent my life worrying about my weight and hadn't a burning interest in such phenomena. I didn't expect a Nobel Prize for my discovery but was vaguely interested enough to mention it to my wife.

I assume some lucky people were instilled with this fact of life shortly after emerging from their mother's womb and therefore it never came as any surprise to them. Hard to believe that a deprived minority including myself went right through nursery school learning only the usual stuff like reading and writing but without ever knowing such things.

Wow that's really fascinating and yet another surprise. Life's full of them.

Laughing is a great way to stay slim - and not mind too much if you don't. Smiling plenty is even better for your health than lifting weights.

Didn't realize you were a non English speaking user and that really doesn't change the fact that your post came out as a direct challenge to what Steve had said. Now I am not his mommy and won't defend him nor his actions, but I thought your post had nothing good to really add except call Steve out on a post.

And to boot, that post wasn't only directed at you (the ego bit). I actually didn't really mean it about you at all, but other posters in the past few weeks who have been having hit and run posts. Secondly, I don't really care how I came off to you... I won't lose sleep over that, and neither should you. I am here to do one thing, get information and give it when I can. If I can't, I won't... The only reason I responded to your post and Steve's reaction is SIMPLE: He is more useful to me than you. If you are the reason he is chased away (not the sole reason,but on of the breaking points), I'm not so happy about that.

Trust me, I won't lose sleep over that.
And if I am the reason he won't come back to this forum...well, I think this is quite childish. I thought it was quite obvious that if you state a different opinion the people whose opinion is different from yours may want to reply to what you say. And I repeat, I don't think my post was meant to call Steve out on a post, because to me Steve is just one among thousands of members. I just wanted to say what I thought. Obviously, people here are a bit too touchy. I see that expressing a different opinion from people who have been here longer than me is a very bad idea. I learnt my lesson. Won't do it again.

Glad to see you completely missed the point. Besides, Steve isn't a member, he is a moderator (someone who gets paid NOTHING to come work here and deal with thank-less posts all day) and he is also a professional. Far and few of those types come to this forum to help us FATTY's with our problems. We get information that is AWESOME and credible from him for FREE. He could be working with real clients for real money with more satisfaction. Don't question that... nor his motives.

If he won't come back to this forum because of posts like that than it isn't childish, it's called REAL LIFE, no one wants to do a job for free while being harrassed.

And again you just didn't state a differing opinion at all (and btw, I've read almost every single one of your other posts... just for reference to this next line), you are abrasive, not to say I am not at all, but don't act like a victim here. You're a teacher so I'll help explain this differently, you missed the main idea of the topic. IF you wanted to add something credible to the post in a non abrasive way, you would have quoted the original poster. Instead you came in here quoting Steve (who himself really didn't add anything credible, nor did I) directly challenging what he has said, basically summing up his post as being "Smug". What annoys me is you're trying to act like a victim here... when the truth of it all is, you and I are both wrong for thread crapping and making an issue out of it. At least my issue has merit, if I had a choice of which "one among thousands of members" to lose, it wouldn't be Steve, and I was simply voicing my opinion in regards to that. No one is silencing you, but they won't let you just walk over their opinions just like you don't want them walking over yours.

I would love to believe that being Italian is the reason you are being misconstrued but sorry there love, I've read your other posts. No such defense there.

Btw, I am done with this useless thread. You could reply, but your opinion on anything means nothing to me. Until you have something useful for me to read, I am not so sure we even need to speak to one another on these forums.
