Sport overkill?

People say to eat 5-8 meals a day every 2-3 hours but i eat like 10 or more meal/snacks a day with 1-3 hours in between. I AM trying to bulk, so i think this will sorta help me. Is there anything wrong with this?
 
the higher the frequency the better actually. I would say that 6 is a minimum. Everything else is good as long as you are hitting your goals and not going over board.
 
i thought eating a lot (such as 5-8 meals a day, 2-3 hours inbetween) speeds up ur metabolism? dont u want it to slow down if ur bulking? i dont understand...

eating more often does boost the metabolism, but not tremendously...the bigger effect is consistent energy all day long...no spikes and deep valleys in your blood sugar levels (low blood sugar = feeling tired/sleepy...why people at work who eat heavy and unhealthy lunches are lazy all afternoon)

the more important thing is that eating protein every 2 hours keeps you anabolic...maintains a positive nitrogen balance...and that means more potential for lean mass building (assuming diet is good, exercise is on target).

i just try to eat a lot of healthy stuff; i have a clean diet.
