over-training

i was just wondering if this is so much to do in a week
monday-3 miles
tuesday-4 miles
wen. -3 miles
thursday- 4miles
friday- 3 miles
saturday- 4 miles
sunday- 3 miles and everyother sunday rest day

and everyday i do 2 sets of 20 mins abs.

is this to much? without rest

Way too much

Run on alternating days, let your body recover.

You only need to train abs 2 times a week tops. Abs are no different than any other muscle group. More isn't better.

What are your goals anyway?

Question: would this become overtraining if one's diet was poor? That is, could a person do this program, with a healthy diet and a sufficient amount of calories per day and not be "over training?"

Because there are olympians who do this stuff for breakfast. but i second aevans, let the bod recover.

I think with proper nutrition, sleep, low stress, not getting sick, etc.. you could get away with 5-6 days a week.. but definatly not 7..

So, by letting your body rest/recover, what does that do? What are the benefits? If the goal is endurance, would that still be considered overkill?

sometimes I can run (hiit) like 3/4 days in a row but sometimes I have to alternate with the bike because after 5 minutes of running my legs start to hurt like hell
