Ouch!

So I just started running/walking/jogging on my treadmill for atleast 30 mins a day

I've always had a problem with "buckling" my knees, even when I just stand still.
but, ever since ive started on my treadmill, I find it hard to keep at a certain pace cuz my knees are killing me, and even more, the back of my calves feel like they're on fire.
They feel so incredibly tight!

anyone have any suggestions on what to do?
 
stretch real good before and after, and start slow and just work your way up to longer distance/more time

Agree...

A light warmup is very important. Think of your muscles as if they were rubber bands. If you stretch them out to their max when they're cold, they will snap. You muscles are the same way... start off slow, take the time to stretch not just before, but afterwords is just as important.
