Orgasms and their effect on weight?

All right, I was surfing around a bit and my curiosity suddenly peaked.

Can having an orgasm have an effect on weight loss or gain?

I know that sex, a vigorous activity, burns calories, but I'm just talking about the orgasm. Orgasms release endorphins, which suppress appetite, right? But on the other hand, when I was surfing the net I came across a few people who stated that orgasming releases something else in the body--I can't remember the name of it--that makes you store fat, causing weight gain.

I'd just like to have this myth settled by someone who knows something about the subject.

No...................

Next time I'm feeling lazy, and don't wanna put forth the effort for a "mutual victory", I'm going to claim that I'm rolling over and watching the late show for her own good.

Since I'm all about looking after you boys health... :)

there was a snippet in the paper this morning... and of course we beleive everything that we read :D ... insert subliminal message here.. maleficent is a total sex goddess and every man wants her... wants her to do what is unclear...

Anyhow -it said that men should .. .oh screw i t we're supposed to be adults here.. .ejaculate at least 3 times a week (either with a friend or by yourself) as that act helps work the muscles in certain regions... and it's helpful in the prevention of prostate cancer... So boys - Prevent that prostate cancer :)

I am told by a colleague in the Neurology Department I do some work with that apparently sex and orgasm, on a very rough scale, is equal to about a 4 mile jog!!!
He still wont tell me what any of this is based on and WHO DID THE GROUP TEST SUBJECTS!
Totally subjective information but thought it might make you smile!

Well..mmm.. Having too much sex and orgasm effects to everybody with different way. Some skinny men start gaining weight once he have a girlfriend or wife. Some men loose weight and you will be able to see the Sun behind his ears :))

For men, if he really enjoys of having sex with his partner he will look more healthy and good looking. If Not,sorry he will look tired, depressed and loose passion and interest for life.

I think women are the same.. Remember there is the big difference between Having Sex and Making Love. I think Making Love with a strong passion is always good and healthy for human body.

I agree with Kevin on this, I think that when it comes down to making love with someone whom you care deeply for whether it has any direct affect on your weight is of no consequence, who doesn't like to be in wonderful bliss eh?

On the other hand, I HAVE found from personal experience that after you've become comfortable in a relationship and let's say one partner is not as health conscious as the other and loves to eat out or cook, then therein would lie that adverse affect on orgasms. You're happy having lot's of sex (orgasms) it's like a happy pill. Hey let's eat out tonite damn the waistline, I just had an amazing nut! ha ha
