I just went on vacation to wine country, where i had a lot of wine and cheese, not to mention lavish dinners, so i gained some weight, any idea how to stay on the plan while on vacation?

I think vacations are made for some mild indulgence...you just don't want to overdo and have 10 lbs to lose from just one week of weight gain! :p Maybe make it a point to have 1 indulgence meal a day while on vacation and stick to your diet the rest of the meals. You are likely to maintain or only go up a lb or 2 instead of a huge amount doing this. Just be strict on yourself before and after vacations.

Hi Thaylon,
I think the key for going away trips, is knowing how many calories you need to maintain your current weight and then having a pretty good idea how many calories you're consuming.

The problem I have with 'pre planned diets' is that once I would go "off" for a bit, then I wouldn't know what, and how much I could eat.

Knowing your calorie content and staying at least within maintenance ranges should help while you're on vacation.

I hope you had a great time :D
What wineries did you hit?
