Just thought I'd share:

For those of you just starting - I was officially weighed at the Induction Inverview on 3rd February, 2006 at 85.45 kilos.

I started the program on the morning of Saturday 4th February.

I finished the program on 24th June at Goal Weight of 60 kilos, dropping to 58.5 kilos during refeed.

Today, 3rd February, 2007 I weigh 60.5 kilos (hot week, not enough water, back to 60 kilos tomorrow).

Today is the One Year Anniversary of the Induction Interview.

Be encouraged that twelve months from today you will be a different person, that Goal Weight is achievable and reliable, and that your Life After Cohen's will be a slim life.

Start, Continue, and Finish.

Best wishes for the year ahead

Kristine

Dear Chelsea

CONGRATULATIONS!! Wow, I have been reading the forum for a little while now and just this morning paid my joining money and will be going for my bloods on Monday.

Your posts are so motivating and inspiring and although I don't know exactly how much I need to lose (I didn't want to know to avoid constant weighing), if I can lose around 20kgs by June, I will be stoked!

Please keep posting and all the best for your slim future (not that you need luck!)

Kind regards
Monz

Congratulations as well Kristine:)

You have been very inspiring with your Cohen's journals.
I hope in a years time I can post my 1st years anniversay too and add inspiration to others starting or completing this amazing programme.

Well done once again and thank you for all your support.

Wel done Kristine
I have missed your posts over the past week, was wondering if you were coming back on line. I find your posts so inspirational and full of wonderful advice, it is daunting to ponder life after the cohen's program and having somone who has survived the whole process and still weighing the same after 12 months is fantastic.
Look forward to your contuinal posts
Diane

Well done! This time last year I was learning what to do with a 10day old baby, and was lugging around exactly 30 extra kilos than I am today! No wonder my feet were so swollen  A scary thought for you all - as a 10yr old I weighed 29kg. Now that I've lost 30kg (not updating ticker till Wednesday weigh-in) I've actually shed more than what I weighed then! It's exciting to have lost so much, but at the same time kinda disgusting that I let myself go so badly...

Anyway, it's only getting better from here on it! Next challenge is to lose more than I weighed when I was 11 - 42kg. I remember Mum putting me on my first ever diet that year - I guess putting on 13kg in a year is quite a bit for an 11yr old!!!

Cheers,
Linda

Happy Anniversary Kristine. What an achievement. When I am asked what happens after I finish the plan, it is you that pops into my head as I describe the refeed and after. You have certainly achieved much as well as continuing to reassure those of us still on this journey that all is well and good at the other side. I look forward to reading your posts. Thank you and enjoy a celebratory glass of red, you have certainly earned it.

G'Day Happy Cohenites

Haven't posted for a while (not enough hours in each day) and just a note to say that it is 24th April, and I still weigh 60 kilos. So that's ten months since completion on 24th June, 2006 and just a mild swing on one kilo here or there but a settled, ongoing and reliable weight.

Quite a few of you seem to have achieved goal weight in the past few months - congratulations! Cohen's is amazing and fun but it still takes guts and determination to stick with the program as you shed perhaps 10%, 30% or even 50% of your body weight. I lost 30% of my starting weight and it seems incomprehensible now where on earth that weight was!

I don't feel quite as gravity defying as when I first completed - my muscles are now used to this weight and I forget how different I felt back then, but I can still 'see' me in the mirror, the amputee memory is still clear and one thing is for sure - I am never, every, going back there!

Best wishes to all as you continue your journey

Cheers

Kristine
