one of the most fun things i'v trained with

i'v recently been using tons of non-traditional workout equipment such as barrels, heavy sandbags, tires, fat dumbells, slosh pipes, ect.

but so far, the most fun i'v had is with the sandbag.

all i did was buy an army navy duffel bag(big one) and then i made 25lb bags of sand out of garbage bag tied up.
i threw 3 in, so its 75lbs.
right now, iits only 75lbs, but it kicks butt!!

clean and pressing it is very fun, but the most brutal thing i'v done with it so far is load it up to 75lbs, then pick it up and carry it 1/4 mile(400meters). i didnt think it would be that hard, but i had to stop and catch my breath several times!

this baby works the stabilizers like no other! and im sore all over from clean and pressing it, wrestling it to the shoulder, lugging it around "anyhow" (bear hug, on the shoulder, zercher, overhead).

WOW. it cost me 35 dollars for the bag + the 200lbs of sand + garbage bags.

200lbs of weights for 35 bucks. good deal.

i think everyone lifting weights should try out one of these man makers!

We had to run while carrying tons of sandbags at basic training to create a dfp (defensive fighting position). They were heavy and hit your cardio like no other. One of the worst parts of basic training for me.

My friend used to love the sandbag at our local gym.

We moved in as house mates some months down the line, the house we moved into had a person sized sandbag in the garden!
She got really worked up over something one day and went out into the garden to have a go at it- no gloves, pitch black, too much to drink or smoke (can't remember exactly)

Next thing we knew, A&E and a plaster cast. She had broken bones, this ladies and gentlemen is what happens when you try to whack a concrete block. Rain + Sandbag does not = good working sandbag.

Cool PB, I have a ton of sandbags at home (bought way too many) from a hardwear store for about $5 a bag and my father-in-law had an old army rucksack.

I also have a keg from the pub round the back of my house, it's an old fashioned keg with a cork stopper so I can fill it with sand :)

This is the way real men train :)

Gotta say that tires arefun to train with, there are so many things to do with them. The big ones you can roll around, hills and stuff. The smaller ones you carry lon top of your head and run!

Just don't leave it out in the rain! Pick it up to use it and get sloshed with nasty cesspool water! Heh.

Ahh, the good ole days as a kid when you jump in the tire swing without looking...

Daniel.

Hhahahaha we train in the rain! It was sooo funny one time, it just kept on slipping, couldn't keep the bloody thing up!

I kept looking at ED, trying to figure it out, GOT IT

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! :)
