i'v recently been using tons of non-traditional workout equipment such as barrels, heavy sandbags, tires, fat dumbells, slosh pipes, ect.
but so far, the most fun i'v had is with the sandbag.
all i did was buy an army navy duffel bag(big one) and then i made 25lb bags of sand out of garbage bag tied up.
i threw 3 in, so its 75lbs.
right now, iits only 75lbs, but it kicks butt!!
clean and pressing it is very fun, but the most brutal thing i'v done with it so far is load it up to 75lbs, then pick it up and carry it 1/4 mile(400meters). i didnt think it would be that hard, but i had to stop and catch my breath several times!
this baby works the stabilizers like no other! and im sore all over from clean and pressing it, wrestling it to the shoulder, lugging it around "anyhow" (bear hug, on the shoulder, zercher, overhead).
WOW. it cost me 35 dollars for the bag + the 200lbs of sand + garbage bags.
200lbs of weights for 35 bucks. good deal.
i think everyone lifting weights should try out one of these man makers!
