Hi all
seems like you are all still doing really well. Well done - its been quite the journey for me - only lost 5.5kg in the first month and then have plateau-ed completely this week - I am on a bit of a time constraint as my parents are coming to visit for 3 weeks from South Africa and I am 3 weeks from that date. I was hoping to lose the rest by then but with this plateau its been a bit frustrating. I have found I am down to a size 12 now and its pretty comfy.

Will just have to go easy on myself and keep going regardless of mum and dads visit.

Have been 100% and so proud of myself - no cravings,,,,... prepare all my food on Sundays for at least 4 days and am really organised which helps so much. I am enjoying the food, the routine and losing weight.

Think I will keep going as I am feeling so much better.
First few weeks - I struggled with that tired weak feeling and the feeling that I was not coping or functioning at work - but now I feel like I have a new lease on life. Just a bit stiff and sore in places though - think from lack of exercise as I was a gym freak before!....
Also have had very achy legs - for those wondering. But nothing can make me smile more than putting on the ol sizze14 jeans and seeing how baggy they are.

Keep going to all of you who are so close. Melly P - you have done so well
Nans68 - nearly there and Di- doing well

Cheers for now all

Well done to you too Envigor8.:)

Don't be disheartened with your weight loss 5.5kg is a good loss in a month, mine was 6.4kg the important thing is you are loosing sometimes if you don't have that much to loose this is what occurrs.
Enjoy your time with your mum and dad explain what you are doing or tell them you are on a medical diet that is what gets me out of trouble.

I find I have no strength I used to exercise as well before and now I am so weak my 7yo is stronger. I plan to start doing a little exercise soon.

Great to hear from you envigor keep up the great work you sound very organised and motivated. Well done.

Hi,

I know it's frustrating when you think you are going to lose a lot of weight rapidly and then it doesn't go that way, but as Nans said, if you didn't have a lot of weight (although I'm sure it felt that way to you) to lose your progress may slower.

Did the both of you exercise while on the program in the beginning? The first week I went to the gym 4 x's, last week I went 2'x - but that is because we had a big snow storm, I would have gone at least 3. This week I plan on going 3 x's. Did you stop going because you felt weak being on the diet, or are you weak because you haven't been going to the gym?

Ididitforme - before i started cohens i was going to the gym about 4 times a week but when i was in the program it made me very hungry and if i tried to work as hard as i normally would i would feel very sick (nauseous, dizzy spells, lethargic). This is because the food we get on cohens is only really enough to give us the vitamins and minerals we need everyday. If we excersice the body burns the calories and then we have nothing to sustain us to keep going.
When i finish cohens im definately signing back up to the gym to tone up and get in a really fit state again - but right now ill be happy we losing weight fast sitting on my a$$!! :)

hope that helped!

Hi Ididitforme

Yes I did exercise before Cohens I was doing 30 minutes about 4/5 times a week on my elliptical machine in fatburn mode. I didn't lose the weight though. I plan to start up again probably during refeed when we are introduced to more food.

I find I have no body strength and can see I need to tone up. And yes it is due to no workout I had been doing resistant type exercises for awhile.

I might also look at water aerobics (which I love and used to do when I was younger) and pilates. But I will take it one step at a time.
