Weight-Loss One meal a week..?

My friend says that she has a huge bowl of sweet and sour chicken or a meal from kfc once a week as part of her diet. She eats a healthy balanced calorie controlled diet all week then Sunday evening she has this. She says it tricks your bodys metabolism into speeding up or something?

Anyone know if there's any truth to this?..

Must admit she looks great!
 
Nah.... that wouldn't trick your metabolism. Metabolism is responsive mostly to caloric intake and body fat levels. One meal really isn't going to make a difference.

That said, I see nothing wrong with eating whatever you want once a week or so. I do so a little more often myself.
 
I like this idea, but I really don't do this. If I have anything that isn't originally on my food plan like ice cream, I allot for it in my caloric intake for the day. But if Steve says I can treat myself at least once a week and not feel guility about it, then by golly, who am I to argue. Sweet and Sour chicken will definately be ordered this week...lol
