One day at a time

hey everyone on WorldFitness Training Forum... my name is Roger... I'm 22 and I've struggled with my weight all my life... my weight has basically consisted of the yo yo diet... my weight has finally been stable for the last year... I did a lot of powerlifting in high school and my main focus in life was to get as strong as I possibly could... and it didn't matter what I weighed to get that... I ate everything and anything and my weight got up to 350lbs by the time I was 21... granted I could lift a lot, but I was unhappy as well as unhappy with my lifestyle... my habits owned me... I realized something has to change I'm not happy, and I realized being strong shouldn't be my only priority in life... I have friends and family who care about me, and I need to be healthy.. this is my body and no one is going to look after me more than me... even though I was 350lbs I wasn't unactive I powerlifted and I was already in the gym 5 days a week.... so I started doing lots of cardio changed the weight I lifted and raised the reps and changed my diet.. jan 1 2007 I was roughly 320lbs and now a week or two away from jan 1 2008 I am now 280-285lbs... I lost 65lbs... I got have been at 280-285 for the last 4-5 months... now what I want to do is get back in "THE ZONE" I've gotten lazy and comfortable and its goin to take a match under my ass to get off it... so I've decided if I make a journal where people can intervine and read and comment on my workouts.. maybe I'll be a little more committed to my regimen and dietary habits... so here I am.. my goals are short I want to be 275lbs mid is 250lbs and long is 225lbs... so thats 60 more lbs that I want to lose... so with that being said... I'm going to take this.... "One day at a time"
 
well I haven't been working out as near as much as I used to when I was losing all this weight so coming back in without getting sick is my main focus... today I had poptarts and milk for breakfast :11doh: and lunch I had peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and milk :) dinner I had wendys :eek2: well I look at the good side... at least I didn't drink tons of soda which is of my normal daily habits... but I did workout... I benchpressed: 135x10 185x10 225x10 short rest breaks... dumbbellshoulderpress: 20'sx10 40'sx10 60'sx10 short rest breaks and tricepcablepushdowns: 40x10 60x10 80x10 short rest breaks not working out period in over 3 weeks I decided not to push the cardio to much so I did 20minutes at 3.0mph on the treadmill tomorrow I plan on eatting oatmeal and milk for breakfast red mountain dew on break (allow one soda a day) gotta be realistic for now at least and 2 bananas as well (work is manual labor) lunch I'll have 2 sandwiches and milk dinner will be 2 chicken breasts and a glass of water and dessert 2 fatfree chocolate pudding cups... my work is pretty hard on the body so I am for now going to be in the gym only 3 days a week I'm mainly focused on changing my dietary habits more than anything... more update tomorrow
