Hi everyone. Like most of the people here, I am also aiming to lose all the excess weight possible. I have been working so hard to achieve a certain weight by means of meal replacement. Anyway, I have noticed a lot of falling hair strands recently. I am in the idea that maybe this is because of my current diet. I am only having breakfast, lunch and supper would be replaced.

Is there anyone who had the same experience that can directly link diet with hair loss/thinning?

Have not experienced it yet, try changing your diet. Eat more vegetables

Thanks for the response. I am actually scheduled to see a GP and dietitian this week. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it is just my diet and not any other disease. My friends think it is just about my diet too and could be due to stress too. I am feeling more depressed seeing my hair although my number one concern is my health holistically. Anyway, I am also making some research on possible hair treatments and came across Not all are satisfied though so I keep on reading about it.

Sounds like hypothyroidism! Symptoms include weight gain, hair loss, depression and fatigue. It might be a good idea to ask your doctor to check you for this!

i think so ,but not only the food but also sleep .i mean if you don't have enough sleep . hair will fall
just the whole nutrition ....

I never faced this kind of issue. Drink more water and eat fresh vegetables. If the hair fall will not decrease then there may be some other problems.

It is better to consult your doctor for this. I think that if you are losing your hairs more then there might be some other reason. For this, you may take some medications.

You could be missing something in your diet or it could be a hormonal or other medical issue. I agree that you should talk to your doctor.

Not Sure about that .. but as far as i have consulted with doctor about reason of hair fall .they said that irregular diet, less sleep and stress are the root cause of hair fall.

not me I knew i was going to be bald by looking at my dad and my hairline pattern. I think transplants are the only solution right on that i would try. I look better bald though it would be cool to have the options though
