I was thinking that. I suppose alot of the money goes into the organisation. I bet those guys have to make some serious dough off sponsorship to cover their costs for a year.

It’s very niche though isn’t it, for there to be money in something you need sponsorships and to get sponsorships people need to give a damn and on the whole, the general public don’t give a damn about BBing

IMO that makes it better though, at least it's not 'fashionable' and full of fans who don't know **** about what they're looking at like you get with most sports

Did Ronnie Coleman quit? I haven't kept up on the IFBB guys for a couple years.

when I met Dexter back in 2002, he looked good. He's pretty short, though not quite as short at Lee Priest...so his muscle mass looks great on his frame, and he never had a bloated stomach liek Ronnie and Jay often did.

Good for Dexter!

You know what caught my eye concerning Dexter? The difference in physique between 1992 and 2008. This is 16 years. While I don't know his life (and like wise training consistency) in those years, it shows that his hard work, DIDN'T come over night.

Yeah I was shocked when I heard he won because the media was saying the competition was between Jay Cutler and Dennis Wolf to win Mr Olympia. Plus I heard the judging was more focused on muscle mass than on symmetry during the 90's until now.
Sounds like an underdog( or hard work pays off) story which is pretty cool.
