I'm going on 78, cancer survivor, have been working out since my mid 20's with weights, bicycle riding, the last 12 years, trikking, and recently a Me-Mover, self powered machine from Denmark. While it's true there are certain exercises I cannot do, for instance with a bad shoulder I had to keep trikking to a minimum, and free weight benching, use a Smith machine now, but most of my weight training routines are ok, which surprises me at my age. I don't go crazy with too much weight, and stay to about 3 or 4 sets.
This Me-Mover surprised me as far as the conditioning aspect, it took me a few weeks to feel acclimated, it's 40% harder to propel than a bicycle, but the aerobic benefits are great, heart rate goes up almost immediately. My furthest distance so far is 19 miles, great leg workout, and easy on the knees. I dropped about 25 lbs. without trying, although I did cut some sugar out.
