old guy 2006 goals

03/27/06 starting weight 255 lbs ,target weight 200 lbs, weight to loose 55 lbs, started treadmill walking twice a day 1 mile in morning and 1 mile evenings, at 3.8 to 4.2 mph on grade 6. puts heart rate at 220-230 bpm. optimum for 55 yr. old.

good for you , sounds like it will be no time at all and that fifty lbs will be gone, i to have started walking and slim fast morning and lunch ive lost 30lbs
since feb 10, today i think i might go join a gym as the weather has been so bad to walk, good luck to you---you can do it!!!:) :)
 
headed the right direction

weight was 242 lbs this a.m. . started at 255 lbs! took about 6 weeks to get 13 lbs off . am walking at 4.3 mph encline 6 or 8 for 1.5 miles twice a day. am using a smooth 525 treadmill that is simple to work and so far been very solid. once i got all the squeaks out of it have been very satisfied with the product. hope to get to 210 lbs when done but for now my goal is to break 240 lbs and then down to the weight i came out of the hospital at 2 yrs ago after complications from gall bladder surgery which was 234 lbs. look foreward to the workouts now because i am starting to see the results of my efforts. mkd!!:)

more than me

you already lost more than i ever could. my goal is 200 lbs and thats about a 50 lb loss. what kind of diet and exercise are you doing to reach your goals? i eat pretty much anything i want but try to eat less of it and am more conscience as to what it takes to lose the lbs. my primary exercise is work(outside construction)and the 3.5 to 4 miles a day on the tread mill.it's a 1/2 hr workout in the am and pm. hope you reach your goal and get where you want to be ! good luck ! mkd.
