ok to take with.......????

Hi everyone, just signed up to the forum, and looking for confirmation on a couple of things......

In the last year i have to admit to really letting myself go...lol, and with also giving up smoking i have put on around 4 stone (55 pounds)

So, New Year, new start and all that, i have decided, to start shedding the weight, now next month i will be moving back home to Sussex, on the coast and will in general be alot more active as a result, but i am going so start playing squash again once a week, swim a couple of times a week and either go to the gym or do a 90min excersise workout at home 3 times a week, and also adapt my diet to suit........

Now i know that all the above is a great start, but on top i have been and purchased a few other things, and MY QUESTION IS THIS.......Can the following things (whether they turn out to work or not) be taken together, or would certain things be detrimental or dangerous to be taken with some of the other things.....

daily....XENEDRINE EFX TABLETS (fat burners)
L-PHENYLALANINE TABLET (appetite supressant/amino acid)
GENERAL MULTI VITAMIN TABLET
COD LIVER OIL CAPSULE (1000mg)
20ml UNREFINED POMIGRANITE CONCENTRATE (anti-oxident)

or, apart from the fact that i may rattle a little, will they all be ok to take together????

Many thanks...... Rich :newbie:

If I was you I would do away with the tablets, hit the gym and then eat a caloric deficit diet. Leave the cod liver oil and throw in a multi-vitamin.

I don't see the need for the L-Phenylalanine unless you're deficient in that amino acid which is highly unlikely. I'd go for a liquid cod liver over a capsule.

Soooo...I'd multivitamin, cod liver oil, and multi mineral

thanks tribal and evolution..... i only thought about the L-Phenylalanine because i was told about its properties as an appetite supresant, but i beleive to a certain extent the xenadrine has this effect too???

so i guess then i will do the xenadrine..cod liver oil...multi vitamins and minerals

Time and again I've been lured by the advertisements and impressive photos these so-called Fat-Burner supplements put before out eyes. Who wouldn't be? "Burn 5x more fat then with exercise & diet alone".....hard to resist.

AND time and again my nutritionist insists, demands and hammers me with the certainty and reassurance that these supplements are just bunk, a waste of money and a bunch of hype.

In the end, just about any stimulant can amp-up your metabolism and correspondingly reduce your appetite....but I contend that the single most greatest factor is in your own mind. If you are truly determined to achieve your goal and you are willing to make the committment & sacrifice required to do so.....you'll suceed. I'm also concerned that any supplement that is truly that powerful to change your metabolism, is also (like to many before it) a supplement that will be taken off the market after a few people have heart-attacks of heart-valve issues. Is it worth it? If it's effective it's potentially dangerous and if it's not effective it's a waste of money......or so the theory goes.

In so far as supplements....same thing; they'll sell you the world and each year "they" discover more exotic nutrients in some dark cave or forest.

A good well-balance diet rich in fruits, vegetables and lean meat should provide you with everything you need. If you subscribe to the soil-depletion notion, then adding a good food-based multivitamin is a simple & safe insurance policy.

Beyond that, some flax-seed oil and fish oil seem to be a good idea. I also like to eat a bit of dark chocolate high in cocao (not cocoa) every day.
