Hi all..
I have been around in the forum some time, posted some pics of me, but never actually commented on what I do.

I am a 25 yrs old married girl... still dont have a kids... and I am planning to go on vacation to my homeland on the 29th of June.

My weight at the moment (I weighted yesterday) is 68kg (calculated it in google.com and its around 150 pounds) and my height is 1,70m .

I consider myself not fit at all... my waist is just bigger and since I have a back problem, this is not helping me... I suffer also from constipation. I work and I am the kind of person that stresses out from nothing! I am not sleeping well at this time... Sleep aroung 12am and wake up at 6:30am everyday for work coz it starts at 7:30am.

I have become a member at a gym and started working out a week ago (which makes as a total 2 weeks until now) and I have been doing cardio for 1 hour at the begining but after the third day starting doing it for 2 hours! Sometimes, I jog 1 hour and walk the second or do elliptical 1 hour and walk the second. I havent had bread for the past two weeks... I did have though tost... its better if I draw how my meals are divided..options:

Please know that I am stating what I have been eating in the past weeks and half (since I started working out)

Breakfast: 2 smalls toasted tosts (bread) with light cheese and tea with no sugar OR 2 small grilled arepas (Latin corn flour made fajitas) with Nescafe with 3 teaspoons of Light Coffe mate and Spenda packet OR Cucumber with cottage cheese.

I drink almost 3-4 600ML bottle of waters! Aroung 2 Liters and 400ML of water! (Per day)

Lunch: Grilled minced meat with boiled potatoe (done at home) OR Chicken breast sandwich with either greek salad or caesar salad or crab salad (Order from restaurant for work)... I did have some rice though Like around 4 table spoon. I also had around 8 salty crackers for snacks.

I go to the gym 5 days a week and workout either 2 or 1 hour as cardio.. I jod, walk fast and do elliptical. Then I do some sit ups and stretch!

As dinner, Dont remember what I have had. But I usually have a fruit, OR Fetta cheese (some), OR salads with some dressing.

Please! someone advise me on what am I doing wrong? Or maybe I am being impatient? Maybe I am thinking a lot about it and this is blocking me from freeing myself and losing what I want.? I am desperate. Please help :(

Hi there, Susan!
I read through your post. One thing I can tell you: your diet does not have enough fibre in it. That's probably causing the constipation. Try to change the bread you're eating for something high fibre, preferably whole grain, rye bread if you can get it where you live (your post didn't tell where you're from). If you eat pasta or rice, make sure that they are whole grain products. Add more fruit and vegetables to your diet, they contain fibre as well and are high on vitamins and minerals.
About the impatience.. Two weeks is a great start, and according to your ticker you've already lost 2 kg. That's actually very fast weight-loss. The recommended healthy pace for losing weight is 1-2 pounds (0,5-1 kg) per week. That way your body can maintain most of it's muscle mass and the weight you're loosing is mostly fat.
Have you set yourself some kind of a deadline for a certain amount of weight-loss, or is there some other reason for you not being happy with the 2 kg loss so far?
Juliette

Hi Juliette,

Thank you for your quick response! you just put a smile on my face.
About the ticker.. that's old.. I lost before 2 kilos but gained them again, sadly. I should update the ticker! I was 66 kilos and now am again 68 :(

Anyway, I think that I should add like you said, fruits. Maybe from time to time have a fruit salad. About bread.. I think that toasted bread is what causes constipation... We have a place that sells healthy brown bread with fiber, so I should get there soon. By the way, I live in the Persian Gulf. (Not originally from here, but me and my hubby work here)

Anyway Julie, thanks for your advises, I will take them into consideration.

Big hug

Good if I could help a bit. I'm struggling here at 67 and something kilos myself, so you're not alone in that respect either..
I had a weird weight experience with starting to go to the gym regularly last autumn. Somehow my body thought it needed to save every calorie it got, since I strained it a bit too much at once. My weight went 3 kilos up instead of down. When I did a little less and ate a little more and gave it some time, the situation changed for the better. But I can't say if this would be the case with you, since everybody reacts in such a different way.
It helps me when I plan ahead what I'm going to eat during the day and actually aim for a certain number of protein, carbohydrates, fat, fibre and calories when planning. Also, most of the time when I'm not losing weight like I'd like to, my food log tells me why.
Hugs,
Juliette

^^ Food log? That's a tip! I might start doing that then too. Thanks Julie.

Good luck in your journey... I keep saying that it is so easy to gain weight, but so hard to keep lose it! WHY! :rotflmao:

Hope to hear more comments and replies on my issue.
