Being the new year and all, as expected there were unusually more people at the gym today... no doubt many of whom are starting on their resolutions to lose some weight. Most don't have a clue as to what they're doing and just hog up equipment taking 10 min rests between sets
and hopefully soon the population will return to normal as people get fed up with lack of results but that's a different story. Anyway, the point is that there were a lot of people there today around me as I worked out, Keep that in mind.
So today is my full body routine and like 75% of my full body routines I start out with back squats. I warm up to 140bpm on the elliptical then headed over to the racks, then proceeded to do some warm up squats with no weight on me. OK now that it's done, I put on two 45 plates, two 25 plates, two ten plates, and two five plates. Since many beginners were there, some watched me as piled on the weights like I was crazy but it's actually not a lot(215?), plus I'm 5'8 185 and doing 5x5 ATG. So here we go, my first set... one... two... th... [<crack> my boxers split as I went down] ...ree, determined not to let that bother me, I did four and five, then mounted the weights back on the rack. Immediately several people came up to me asking me if I'm ok and if I needed medical attention thinking I broke something. Cuz it made quite a loud noise, it sounds like bone cracking, you know... the sound of a piece of cloth being torn in 2 instantly. With that opportune moment, I just played it off, "yea I'm fine, it's nothing" as they looked on in astonishment. Meanwhile I had a gush of fresh air drying the sweat off my bare ass.
Since no one really knew(until now), I said screw it, I'm not gonna let a hole in my boxers stop me from finishing my workout(still have my shorts intact) so I continued and with each squat I could feel each side of my boxers stretch out exposing my butt and genitalia to a gush of cold air. Contrary to what you might believe, it's actually very uncomfortable. Yep... very embarrassed.
