I am looking seriously at purchasing one of these. I've done a "store" tryout and it seemed like a fine machine.
It gets very cold up here in Southwestern WI; and dark! Unsafe to walk much because I work during the day.

I suppose it would be at least an option to look at joining a gym??

Does anyone have experience with this brand of machine? Is it a quality piece of equipment? Will it last?

Any opinions would be helpful.

We have one. As far as ellipticals go, they are good quality for the price. I believe they get a pretty good rating on Consumer Reports and are pretty compact which is also a good feature.
 
It is the most technically advanced of any on the market. Next to the $5600 Precor 576i there is nothing better. Do not hesitate to buy one. You will not be sorry.
