Weight-Loss Nutrition Supplement: Blue Green Algae

Weight-Loss
When hubby and I had our BCA (Body composition analysis) I was told that my water retention level is 9.9% which is pretty bad. The guy who did our BCA had a masters in nutrition and I think is undergrad degree was physical fitness or something like that.

Well, he suggested that I should take a blue green algae supplement (a specific brand) that he had to help eliminate toxins from my body and allow my body to use the water that is surrounding the toxins and fat cells to deplete. He said that the toxins were what probably what was causing my water retention and eliminating those would allow for easier fat loss and less cellulite etc.

Hubby and I decided not to purchase anything during the meeting as we knew nothing about blue green algae and wanted to do some research and see if we could obtain it elsewhere cheaper. And we feel that we made a good decision. A few days later, we were doing research on the net and found that some blue green algae that is being harvested dried and sold in pill format comes from a lake in Oregon (I believe) and that is "easily contaminated with toxins such as microcystins and heavy metals." (UC Berkelly Wellness Guide to Dietarey Supplements ).

I'm wondering if anyone else has any experience with other Blue Green Algae supplements or if there are other ways to reduce the toxins and water retention levels.

Thanks in advance.

i went to a doctor who had me sitting in sea salt to rid my body of toxins. he was holistic doctor who ranted and raved about toxicity. i have no clue if i helped or not but i did it anyway. its not like soaking in a bath was hard work. :)

there was an article in the throwaway paper thats ok to read on the train but no where else :) yesterday about accupuncture and other alternative treatments - one treatment is "cupping" to get rid of toxins in the body - it's a very bizarre treatment that the writer o the story after treatment said her back looked like it was covered with hickies.. :D

oh ive heard of that, there is another therapy, its called eating less sodium and drink more water.
Its by far harder than any of the other stuff, and you have to pay me $50 a day you eat less sodium and drink more water. But it really works!!
