Sport Nutrition Labels

Sport Fitness
Every since I've started my diet I cant help but look at the nutrition labels on almost everything that goes into my body. I hate eating at resturants because I simply don't know what is in the food I'm being served.

This is was my food intake today

1 bananna
1 egg
Broccoli Soup for lunch
5 brussel sprouts (so good :) )
Vegetable soup for dinner (my personal fav)
I can't for get water I have at least 4 glasses a day

See its food like that that makes you lose the pounds. I hav e lost 35 pounds since september 3rd and im extremly proud of myself. Now I'm not gonna say it was only the nutrition I was also biking and exerciing but my daily intake contributed to it alot. Anyway what im trying to say is does anybody else in here obsess about what goes into their body like all the time?

yep i do heaps, it kinda goes hand in hand with exercise and just happens ey!! haha .. i think you need a bit more of nutrience try ... i think it is a bit over rated but gives you an idea..
your doin great !!! good luck

That is seriously f(_)cked up man.

You need to eat more. Let me tell you, that weight that seems to be "miraculously" coming off is because of malnutrition.

You have NOTHING to be proud of.

This is what I've had today.

4 pieces of whole wheat bread with peanut butter on them.
1 entire chicken breast.
6 glasses of milk.
1 sandwich with blackforest ham, cottage cheese, 2 pieces whole wheat bread.
120g oatmeal
2 1/2 cup of arrayed cooked vegetables
1 fish fillet
6 glasses of water
2 apples

THAT, my misguided friend is good nutrition. ;)

Congrats on your weight loss, but this looks more like you are starving yourself, rather than eating to be healthy. The problem that most people have that do what you are doing, is when they can't take it anymore, they start bingeing...they gain all the weight back.....and then some. Its the way our bodies respond to starvation mode.

That's no where near enough food to stay healthy. You're not losing much fat. The weight you're losing is muscle mass. Eating that little puts your body into starvation mode, and it will use muscle tissue for energy, because you're starving, and the body needs to hold on to all of it's fat stores to keep you alive. For all the body knows, you're food intake will keep diminishing, so in addition to burning away muscle, its gonna slow your metabolism so you use fewer calories per day.
You can actually hit a point where you're storing the food you eat as fat, even when its that small of an amount of food.

A healthy amount of weight to lose is 2lbs per week. 3lbs if you're considered morbidly obese (500lbs). That means about 8, maybe 10 lbs lost per month. You're sitting at nearly 20lbs lost per month in the last 2 months.

Are the warning sirens going off in your head yet?

Start eating more, especially protein (6g from one egg is NOT ENOUGH...even the USRDA is 60g, and they only state what you need to stay healthy!)

Yea being 6'2" and 170 pounds is pretty normal. You should just start eating more and working out more.
