Sport Nutrition/Fitness question

Sport Fitness
Hey I just had a question pertaining to fat and weight with nutriton.. I am around 165 pounds now and at 12.5- 13% body fat.

I am wondering if it is possible to still stay at 165 pounds while at the same time dropping my body fat to lets say 8%. Would a low carb diet be the best plan of action? Also will muscle have to be sacrificed in order to do so? Thank you for your help!

Your question is a bit confusing. In order to drop to 8% bodyfat, you will need to eliminate bodyfat by carefully eating a deficit diet, weight training, and doing additional cardio. Therefore, you can't possibly stay at 165 pounds. Why does that matter?

You could always eat in a surplus, add muscle mass, then cut back fat, and do this cycle until you are 165 lbs, 8% bodyfat. That would take time and hard work!

Actually, it is possible.

Extremely difficult, but possible. Your best course of action is to pick one, cut fat or build muscle, then once that's done, go to the other. It will take less time this way. Also far less difficult.
