Sport Nutrition: Beer...

I'm on a fairly strict diet/nutrition program at the moment, and I want to keep it that way for as long as possible.

My question is... how BAD for you is beer? I think I found out that a pint contains approx 180 calories, which isn't too bad, but obviously as soon as you have 3 or more pints you're talking a major calorie intake which isn't going to be a good thing.

What do you guys drink as a 'healthy' alternative?
 
water, green tea
 
beer aint that bad, i suck down prolly 20 beers a week, and i maintain a semi decent build, just u gotta compensate for those calories....
 
only drink 3 times a week really and not over board and it has not been a serious problem. if it does then id stop
