I was looking for a GPS navigation that doesn't have a bunch of wires, that is portable, plugs into cig lighter, speaks to you, shows street names and shows you the street name you are currently on, plus has a big area while telling you exactly where to turn. Oh, and one that will recalculate should you miss the turn.
I did a lot of researching and the three top names are Garmin, tomtom, and magellan.
I decided to go with the tomtom one XL and LOVE IT. Most of them are over $200, but I found one for $189 from u2buyforless.com
They also have some good priced ones at elex4less.com and am thinking of getting their garmin there for my parents anniversary this year.
It worked right out the box as they say and I never get lost.
So, if you're planning a vacation this summer, I highly recommend getting a GPS if you don't have one.
