Hello fellow [weight] losers,
I've been dieting with the fat blocker Xenical for about 2 months, have lost 12 pounds total, but have failed to see any real physical results yet. When I tell people what I've lost I feel like I'm lying because no one can really tell. I'm wondering if I should be worried or if it's just because I have 100 pounds to lose and 12 pounds is insignificant when looking at the grand poundage to be shed. I'm getting discouraged....any info for me? Thanks a bunch.......

Twelve pounds is great !! I think that it is hard for people that see us on a regular basis to notice and if you have that much weight to lose that could be part of it as well I have a hundered pounds to lose as well and those that can see my almost 30 lb loss is not my family ...its the people that havent seen me for a few months that are noticing .

Dont give up or be discouraged . You are engaging on a lifestyle and in two months I think that is a great accomplisment whether it is "noticeable" or not it represents lots of hard work .

Thank you very much for the encouragement. 30 pounds is amazing too! I actually do have a friend that I hadn't seen for awhile and she noticed it  It is support groups like this that help people through and I'm so thankful that I've found you guys! Keep up the good work, dragon!

its a great start! who cares if anyone can see it? besides, nobody really notices til its like 20 pounds and then just wait til the compliments come rolling in! have you taken measurements? you probably lost some inches.

Thanks, wonder....that's what I wanted to hear (that people don't really notice till 20 pounds.) You guys are the best! I'm so glad there is a positive place like this for us to get support!

I also need to lose 100 lbs...( really more like 140).....my highest was 340..I am now 310....but no one really noticed it until I lost like 25 to 35 lbs....I mean when I lost 15 to 20 lbs they saw that my clothes were looser and that I had more energy .
Its people that havnt seen you in awhile that will be abel to tell. ALso....dont go by soley by what the scale says.....its really the inches.....Are you exercising?... I know you are taking a fat blocker pill but are you eating pretty healthy also??....Good luck in your weight lose!!...12 lbs is great!!!...Taking a pill is fine but you need to make sure you are eating healthy..( or at least half way healthy..lol)....and exercise, exercise and WATER!!!.....

I am soooo wanting to start taking a weight loss pill. How do you like Xenical? There are so many out there I dont know what to choose. I;ve done the Metabolife, and Metabolite, and some black and yellow bumble bee pill (dont remember the name) oh yeah Staker 2000. They all gave me energy, mostly caffiene in them things I guess.

ANYWAY, you are sooo pretty! I bet you hear it all the time.
Sounds like you are doing good! Do your clothes fit better? I listen to my clothes rather than the scale. Oh and my fiance makes nice comments to keep me on my toes. He's great at that.

Welcome to the forum!

Christina- thank you very much for the compliments! Doesn't it help when our guys make "sexy" remarks? hehe....Anyways, I feel that Xenical is a godsend. It's a little pricy, 185 per month and insurance won't cover it. However, you can get it from Canada for about 100. It is unique in that it isn't a stimulant like all the other drugs you've tried. There are some downsides, however. I'm sure you've heard about the gastro problems associated with it that can be a pain in the arse (literally.) Fortunately the side effects are minimal, and I'm willing to put up with them for the effects of the medication. The nice thing about Xenical is that it's virtually benign. It isn't even absorbed into the bloodstream, goes straight to the gut to work it's magic. So it's nice to know you're not doing something bad for your heart by taking stimulant. I would talk to your doc about it, and ask him if you can try it. Some people take themselves off due to the side effects, but I say give it a try. Good luck Christina, and by the way you are beautiful too!

Hi, there

 Welcome to the forum. My name is Red Dragon; I call my self that because I am proud of my Welsh heritage (sp?) I used to go by the name of "Whalebelly" on this forum, but a couple of the other members on the forum suggested that I might want to change my username to something a little bit more positive. I start on my program heavy duty tomorrow. Wish me luck! Gotta run now, but I just wanted to introduce myself and say hi. Good luck to you.

I've lost 37 lbs, and i carry my weight throughout my body, and people that havent seen me in a long time dont seem to really have noticed. Those who know am dieting tell me that i'm looking great. there is definitely a change that can be noticed..but its really not overwhelming..so i know your pain...i've lost all this weight and still doesnt look like i've lost that much...

good luck

Nady

My dad lost over 100 pounds and I barely realized since I live with him. But now, the way I can tell, is I look at old pictures and then I look at him now... gosh is there a difference.
