Not losing body fat despite healthy diet and exercise

Hi guys, after some advice. I'm 36 years old male, 83 kg and 22.1% body fat. I play squash 3 times a week, do interval training (CV) 3 times a week, and I'm on a weights program which I perform 2 or 3 times a week. I watch my calorie intake and reduced it to around 2000 calories a day and drink enough water but I'm STILL not losing body fat. In fact, I recently put on more weight which was in the form of fat and not muscle!

I've built this program of exercise up over months, adding/trying new things but it's not working.

I just seem to be doing far more than I thought I'd need to, to drop body fat but it's not working. I considered it could be a food intolerance issue and a had York test which told me that I did have an intolerance (but not to what - that's an extra £250!) but then again I 've been told everyone has an intolerance to something on some level.

So I"m basically out of ideas - any advice would be appreciated. Is it worth chasing the intolerance route?

how tall are you?

By my estimates 2000 calories is about what you need to maintain your weight (always calculate calorie requirements using lean body mass). I know you're exercising which should provide a deficit but it's possible your body is too well adapted to the exercises you've chosen.

Pick a new deficit (1200 as an absolute minimum), 1500 a day should allow a drop of 1Lb a week (on paper at least) or 1750 a day should allow 1Lb every other week.
