Not consistent and overweight

Okay so , I have always struggled with my weight and the main problem for me is my eating habits. I work out but it's not consistent. Sometimes I'll go heavy on cardio and do 25 miles a week and other times I don't work out for a whole month. I'm here because I want to maintain motivation to eat healthy and wholesome foods and maintain a consistent workout regime. My goal is to lose at least 30 pounds. I'm going for long term goals and realize I won't see results in a day but I do want to get results no matter how long it takes.

My biggest concern right now is the excess fat I have on my thighs and middle. Any workouts do diet suggestions would be helpful. I do weight training but need help organizing the workouts.

- any advice and tips and motivation would be appreciated ! -

Hi Roop , what you mentioned in your paragraph was correct about the consistency. If you are doing a heavy week of cardio say 25miles and then you miss a few weeks it's the same as 1 step forward and 2 steps back . I reccomend you try following a regime that suits your fitness goals . Try follow something you enjoy but it has to have variety with exercises otherwise you will easily get bored . If you have any questions just ask me

Right now , I'm focusing more on weight lifting and it does show a difference. So I think I'll do cardio 3 days a week and weights for 3 days and then yoga or walking for a rest day. Slowly , I'm trying to be more consistent even if it is just a little

Hi Roop,

It sounds like you have a good start. Like you said, consistency and motivation seem to be key as well as structuring your workouts to maximize results. I used to have problems trying to organize a workout and feel motivated to follow it through but then started to find the things I enjoyed doing and curtail it to help me get the results I wanted. May I ask what types of workouts you enjoy most (yoga, running, dancing, free weights, gym machines, etc) and do you have any weights at home? Also, how is your nutrition - do you find yourself eating a lot of fruits and veggies or do you tend to eat more sweets, carbs, and so on?

I recently became an online health coach and have found that the community support behind it has been driving me to give my workouts/eating plans that extra push so that I'm holding myself accountable and demonstrating for others at the same time. I can give you more info about that if you're interested in starting a workout program/eating plan?
