no white diet?

has anyone tried this?

I am beginning to think I might have a carbohydrate sensibility. I have cravings, I usually feel sluggish and depressed and I just want more carbs.
I want to try this diet for up to two weeks and figure out how I feel while slowly incorporating milk, yogurt etc back.

any suggestions for this diet? what have you guys experienced?
thanks!

I'm not doing the 'no white' diet exactly - but my husband and I are doing something similar. The goal is to keep the refined carbs out 90% of the time, and to eat lots and lots of veggies - over half of our food by volume is supposed to be fruit & veggies.

For the 90% of the time, we can have 2 slices of high fiber bread, or equivalent. So high fiber tortillas or oatmeal etc.

I like veggie scrambles. Avocados are also great - but rather high in calories if you're eating a ton. We still keep yogurt in - but go with plain Greek yogurt which is higher in protein and lower in sugar.

I didn't have carb cravings so I can't really say on those - although I've heard going at least 6 weeks without indulging can help break the craving cycle.

Good luck!

Yeah, i'm doing my own version of it as well. Mostly it comes down to cutting out as much of the processed crud and excess sugar as possible.

Even though I weigh the same, i've noticed cutting out refined sugars, sugar drinks, sodas (including diet), has really helped suppress my appetite. my energy level has been unchanged.
