Sport no time

Sport Fitness
I just started college classes and i feel like i never have time to eat right. Today i got up and ran and walked with my mom before class...i ate a bowl of cereal with fruit on top...before i left i had some watermelon. i had classes from 11:00-1:45 till i got home i only ate lunch after 2...and i had fat free cottage cheese and fruit. i returned to classes at 3:50 till 5:05 and had to go to work by 5:30 till i got home from work it was after 8:00! i had some left over eggplant parmasan (sp?) and some sugar-free choc. pudding is this ok? and is it okay to eat dinner late at night like this?

Eating late isn't a big deal, it's WHAT your eating. You could find better choices to eat than what your planning.

As for "no time", make time. How important are your goals to you? Bring food. Cook ahead of time. It takes work, and lots of preparation, but if reaching your goals are important, then it shouldn't be a big deal.

Good luck :)

it doesn't look like you're eating enough food, certainly not enough protein, and not some of the best choices for food.

If you had a million dollars, would you build a house with rotted out wood and broken bricks, or would you use quality materials?
Cuz that's really what your diet is...the raw materials for building a healthy body. The worse the food choices, the poorer the body is built (to a degree you may not even make progress!) Like Stew said, if its REALLY important to you, you'll find a way to get the right foods, and eat at the right times.

I am fully aware of how a college lifestyle can suck. But, it doesn't get any better when you graduate to the real world of 40 hour work weeks, commuting to work, taking care of your own house, kids, blah blah.
If you find a way to make it work now, and stick to it, you'll find a way to keep making it work 10 years from now, IF it is really important to you.

biggest question, when are you lifting weights? I see the walking in the morning, but what about resistance training? You need both, plus a decent diet, to get into good shape.

I'm a college student myself, so I know the hassle of eating healthy when you're surrounded by pizza and junk food! Anyway, I have some suggestions:
1) Set aside a day to go grocery shopping, even if it's early Sunday morning or something, and pick up some healthy snacks for your room.
2) Set aside some time to make some healthy meals for you to eat later in the week...maybe some trial mix?
3) Here's a great link about eating on the go, which might help you for the nights that you have no time--

Good luck!

Thanks for all the advice...i actually am living at home while going to college...i am going to the community college in town. So healthy snacks aren't a problem at all. I don't drink soda...i dont eat much junk food at all. I really try to watch what i eat. I am not an overweight person...i just like to stay fit. I plan on going to the gym at the college and doing more reistance training. My goal is to tighten up my middle section. I know cardio won't do all of that for me. right now my status is 5'4" 116-118lbs. So any other advice is welcome :) thanks!

Im assuming you are female. Your weight is not high. So you most likely want to firm up a bit. Is that correct? If so, focus on eating more protein and hitting the weights. Cardio is great, but focus on weights and adding more protein.
