No time to work out - is walking enough?

Hi, I'm a 23 year old 165 pound female looking to lose about 25-30 pounds. I eat quite well, but have no time to work out 3 or 4 times a week on my new regime. Though with my new schedule, I will be walking 1 hour to work and 1 hour back, and during the work day probably do the equalivant of another hours walking. So is eating right and 3 hours of walking 5-6 days a week enough to become and stay slim without toning exercises and workouts etc? Or will I not lose any fat from this?

Thank for your help!

There's really no way to say... you will have to try it for a few weeks and see what happens. "Eating right" is very different, depending on who you're talking to, so if you can give some more details on what you will actually be eating, then we might be able to better judge whether or not you're actually "eating right." If you would like some information on nutrition, there is a really good article here: http://body-improvements.com/resources/eat/

If you do lose weight following your plan, you might have a hard time keeping it off if you haven't done any muscle-building exercises. And you might lose weight, but you will lose lean mass as well as fat mass which is not desireable.

If you are short on time you really should try HIIT sessions. There is a guide on the forums that lists all the benefits of HIIT and is extremely helpful!

HIIT stands for High Intensity Interval Training so if you're up to sprinting as if you're running from a pack of hungry wolves, it's the perfect alternative to somebody with little time on their hands (a HIIT session should only last 20 minutes) and the best part is your body will continue burning fat for the rest of the day!

Here's a link to the guide in case you haven't seen it already. Because of how intense the workout is, you shouldn't do this workout more than 3 times a week.
