no malto or dex, am i missing out?

How much am i missing out if i am not supplementing with malto or dex after a workout? I usually have a peice of bread or a cup of brown rice about an hour after my workout.

If my main goal is cutting like a mofo, should i still consider them for muscle recovery while on a hypocaloric diet? will throw my macros way off
 
if you wanted to use it, you just adjust the rest of your carb intake to allow for those PWO carbs.

muscle consumes calories to maintain, and keeping muscles full of nutrients improves growth and performance.

that's not to say you'll see some kind of new amazing gains or fat loss if you switched up...but it would help give you the proper insulin spike post workout that helps increase your insulin sensitivity over all.

but in a nutshell, if your daily intake of calories is right, it shouldn't affect fat loss if you have dextrose PWO vs bread or brown rice.
