Yes, another question. What would I do without y'all?? Ok, would riding a bike (a real one, not a mobil one) build up my cardio like running would? Y'all are great
My husband and I are considering getting full suspension mountain bikes. I think depending on where you ride, how hard, terrain, etc. it's just as good of a workout. I know that riding some trails (even short) get me out of breath and my legs are hurting I imagine that road cycling is too. Just look at the Tour de France riders. Those guys have amazing cardio capacity.
Navygirl I think your missing the point. You also posted a question about wether a stationary bike would burn fat just like running would. Listen.. Cardiovascular is anything that gets your heart rait up for an extended period of time. Basically if your sweating at whatever your doing wether its running/bikeing/skiing/basketball/swimming/jogging, aanyytthinggg, its going to be burning fat and be conciderd cardio. Just do whatever you injoy.
good point aquantis. If you dont enjoy what you are doing you are more likely to put less effort into it and eventually give it up. Exercise should be fun!
