Usually those pills are a ephedra substitute/caffein pill, be careful.

i see. yeah. i am not taking them but was just wandering about them. anyone has n e other safe methods of boosting alertness to study at night just to keep u awake. Thanks guys :)

Im not the right person to answer this, most of the vets at this forum know of my experience with energy/fat loss pills. I just know they had very bad negative effects on my mood. I would recommend trying coffee if you must use anything.

I would tell you to stay away from caffinee pills. The worst thing about them is that they only keep you awake a couple hours longer and then you want to take more. Only the caffinee is still in your system from the last dose. Take it from one you knows hands on a caffinee overdose is a drug overdose. Ya it's in coffee and soda but if you pump too much in your body bad things will happen.
If you really need to stay up try a cup of tea. If that doesn't work then get up take a walk, take a cold shower even. If your trying to study the extra alertness from moving around will help you concentrate better.
I always found that caffinee pills made me disconnected and aren't good when your trying to concentrate anyhow.

Make sure you eat healthy and train before resorting to pills. Your physical condition has the most effect on your level of alertness and ability of focusing.

Looking at your typos I would say that you are a perfect candidate for these pills.
I do reccommend them but you do need to learn quickly that they are no substitute for sleep and they will dehydrate you by a lot. I think they are very easily abused and if you think that you may abuse them than just stay away. If you do not think you will become an addict than I think you should stay well stocked and keep them with you whenever you go to work or school. If you seriously need a perk up grab one and build up a rep for being the guy who is never tired.

But, I can not emphasize this enough- They are not for everyday use. They are for when you need them to wake up or for your longest scariest workout (the one on your day off or your leg day or whatever). Check your urine often and keep your urine clear colored. If you keep going yellow than you are dehydrated and you need to manage your fluids better before you take any more.

I'd rather drink soda then take a caffeine pill. The soda will give you carbs, sugar and water which will help counter the diuertic effects of the caffeine. If energy is what you're needing, its a more adequate solution.

Tea would be healthier... but the problem with coffee and tea is they'll actually put you to sleep before they wake you up. Warm liquid will make you tired.

Ice tea works- but guess what.. its non-carbonated soda.. which come to think of it.. is the same as regular tea when you add sugar...

Its all crap. :p But if you must, you must- don't see why you'd need to bother with a pill though.

But pills are not a smart idea..... I've never really looked into in but there has to be some safer way to stay awake, or you know what better yet find out why the sleep your getting isn't adaquate to keep you feeling awake all day. If your tired on a regular basis perhaps you have a sleeping disorder or maybe your bodies trying to tell you to slow down. I just feel strongly that taking a pill to wake up is not the answer.

Agree completely. Pills meddle with the body's mechanism and also creates dependencies. Better to do stuff thehard way I feel.

oh wow, these are so awesome advices. i think i m not gonna go the pill the way haha. i really dont want to take a chance with something which is harmful to body LOL and yeah sorry about my typos haha:)

Actually, No Doz works really well. I take it when its close to exam time and it keeps me alert all night and doesnt make me shaky like coffee does.
