i cant help but feel discouraged when i saw this. just because id really like to see them find a way to stop it. i see the humor in it, i just wish it was a serious comment
 
Everyone I know has stopped going to BP ever since the leak started.

Which is totally pointless and sad because pretty much every bp station is just a franchise type store. This could have happened to any oil company. Just because those people decided to buy into bp as opposed to citgo or shell, they are losing money, which sucks, because they didn't do anything to cause this.

I'd have to agree. Offshore drilling isn't just a BP thing, a lot of companies do it and any company could have had the spill. Heck everyone is still in support of mining even tho there have been two major (in my life time) collapses and many miners dying. Yet we arn't arguing not to mine anymore and people are not boycotting what is being mined. People die for a lot of reasons, people die on land oil rigs as well, it is known as a very dangerous and un-perdictable job.

I would be more in support of stopping off shore drilling, if anything. But if BP just so happens to have a lower gas price on a certain day, I'll go there.

And realistically, what they are trying to stop is hard. It's a mile under water where pressure and no human can go. It's all trial and error. What is sucks is that our president refuses to let other countries help, like Brazil which is capable of cleaning it up since they have the stuff needed for these situations. BP isnt the one turning them down.
