Hey, Every one
new to the post, and body building
just orderd a bowflex sport, want to gain MASS
stats
weight = 138
height = `5 11
" fairly tall and skinny "
dose any one have any pointers and or workout programs for somone like me who wants to get big fast?
I once heard "to buld mass do... less reps more weight, as opposed to more reps less weight" is this true. simple stuff like this would help tremendously.
 
the most important things I've learned are
1. Get 1 gram of protien for every pound of body weight everyday
2. Go hard or go home (don't rest for 5 mins between sets), just keep killin it.
3. Supplements.... use em
4. get adequate rest

this really gives me some insight, I just recieved my Bowflex sport yesterday, so if anyone has some good workout programs or tips i'll greatly appriciate it, and i do have some "body mass building" powder.
If i want to build mass, do i have to work all the muscles or mainly my uppers, strong leggs are'nt my main concern right now.
how often and for how long should i work out?
I am a Begginer.
one more question.
what is the best way to get a sixpack.

IMO, concentrate on the big basic exercises (squats, deadlifts, presses, rows, chins, dips) and throw in a little arm and calf work.

dont neglect training your legs. its been said that if you neglect them, you could be cutting your results in half. :(

i believe abs to be more of a result of diet than training, ie low bodyfat %
 
Awsome, i'll start throwing the legg excersising back in the program, "but man do i wake up sore in the morning" .
is thier any thing else i need to have? below is what i do have.

Bowflex sport
Supplements
ambition
and now more knowledge

any thing else?
 
Yeah remember to work your legs and back. You want to stay semetrical, you will have less problems with your back and legs this way. you will look better all around too.
 
Sounds like a plan, "makes sense too..."
I know running will help strengthen my leggs but should i run if i'm trying to build mass?
 
no you should squat to build mass in ur legs
