Newbie Workout Questions

Hi,

I am new to the forums and in need of recommendations for a workout routine and diet. I am 22 years old 6'0" tall and have a weight of 165lb.

I just got a gym membership and started working out again. I tore my labrum playing basketball almost 2 years ago so its been a while since i hit the gym. I am very lean already but I know diet is important if I want to get that 'cut' look. So Im preparing to start bringing lunch to work rather than my usual fast food twice a day and pizza for dinner routine. Im at the point now where its safe to workout again (anything except benching), and I want to get serious with this.

Question 1:

Does anyone have a workout routine to recommend for me? Im just looking to gain back some muscle mass and would appreciate some guidance with my routine. Also id be interested to know what shoulder exercises I can do, besides the overhead shoulder press, I would appreciate it!

Question 2:

What pre/post workout supplement should I be using? Any recommendations on what I should take? I would be most interested in a pre workout shake as I need something to push me through my workout and help me from getting tired.

Thanks

A lot of questions so I'll answer one of them. The shoulder press works just about all of your delts and is a good muscle builder. There are 3 isolation exercises that work each head separately and should be included in your shoulder routine. Using dumbbells: lateral raises, front raises and bent over rear raises.
It's easier if you google these exercises and find some video showing proper form which is critical with a previous injury. Obviously go light until you see how the shoulder responds.
