Greetings fellow dieters,
Where to begin!
I am over weight and really struggling to lose weight.
I'm just really lazy and need some motivation to get up and exercise.
I'm looking for others who are also having the same difficulties as myself.
Please share your experiences and maybe we can help each other :)

I often think that the best thing is to just force yourself to go out for a walk and do something - even if you do not feel motivated at all.
At least then you can feel good about what you've done - maybe even brag on the forum about having done it.
Maybe drink your water and try to not eat sweets etc that you know are rubbish and brag about that too...
Once the results start - then that tends to bring a motivation to keep the ball rolling...

Have a good day - and be sure to feel good about your accomplishments.

I have just lost a load of weight. Just 2lbs to go then I have lost 30kg. I have done no exercise at all apart from normal day to day stuff. I'll be honest - it has taken 4 years but all that time I have eaten everything I normally eat and enjoy. I went out and bought smaller dinner plates, then I ate exactly what I wanted but in smaller quantities if it was calorie laden. The other thing I learned to do was to stop when I felt satisfied (not uncomfortable or really full but satisfied). that way I never felt deprived. I've eaten chocolate and sweets and chips and cake and all those things on the list of 'dont eat'. I love my carbs and dont want to be without them. Each time I have lost around 5/7kgs I have then just tried to maintain the level I have got to for 3 or 4 months. That way I haven't lost weight too quickly and I have given my skin a chance to shrink back more slowly. I'm 63 and have rheumatoid arthritis and an underactive thyroid both of which are not the most helpful conditions to have when you need to lose weight. Today I am 59kgs having started at 88kg. Having been 60kg for five months I am hoping to get rid of the last 5kgs this summer. Now I am nearly at target I do have a bit of a loose skin problem so I may have to finally start some exercise programme but if it doesn't work (my joints are pretty dreadful now) at least the weight has gone. So just try eating a little less first and see what happens. when the weight starts to drop you may get more motivated and be able to exercise then. Good luck anyway - just go for it!

Did you try anything yet to lose your weight? I am also a newbie here. I would like to lose my weight as well. I hope I will get some better ideas from this community.

hey we are all lazy. there is just too much to do in a day. exercise is not your only option for losing weight. there are many more effective methods for weight loss. you should look them up.
