Sorry if this is not really what the forum is for, but I'm a newbie here. Just want to introduce myself.

I'm a bit of a forum addict. Love them. Don't know why it took me so long to find this forum though. But now I have. I'm not really here for weight loss because I have lost the weight I wanted. Now just looking for tips to gain lean muscle mass, so any suggestions would be great. Still have a bit of fat to get down. The job is never done hey. Hope you people don't mind a back story.

I was dating a lovely girl years and years ago, but she was absolutely crazy. I was still 274 lb back then. Kept accusing me of wanting to sleep with her friends because she wasn't sleeping with me because of my obesity. Even though I knew I wouldn't really get another girl for a while, I just had to dump her. Then I slowly started to eat well and work out. Was tough and the results came way to slow. Then I met an amazing girl. We are still friends. I forgot all about my workouts and dieting. She took my virginity at the age of 25. I know. Pathetic right? But slowly as the relationship went on I decided to get back to my workout routine. She didn't like it. she said a good looking guy is every woman's guy. I kept it up though and eventually broke the 240 lb mark. But then out of the blue, she dumped me. That was tough to process, but threw myself into working out in all the ways that I work out. Then I met the woman who would become my wife. Again the workouts and eating right (I don't believe in diets) took a back seat to fine dining and enjoying each other. But I still managed to lose weight. Few years after we got married, things really started getting tough. Because of reason I can't discuss for legal reasons my business started to go under. Had to push more and more money into it. Eventually that pressure spilled over into my marriage. Long story short. Lost my business and my wife left me. This left me very depressed and I just stopped eating. Which is why I am now at 170 lb. 6 foot 6 inch skeleton. Now I really need to pick up weight but in the right way. Any suggestions will be appreciated and thanks for an awesome forum.

Hi, NC & welcome to the forum. I could give you lots of tips on how to put weight back on the wrong way, but I'm sure that there are others who could steer you in the right direction. Strength training would be a part of it & the right nutrition at the right time.
