Hi guys, so I've recently joined the forum as I'm trying to lose some weight and looking for the motivation to do it. My first point to call was through a calorie deficit as I do believe I tend to eat big portions when it comes to meal time. I've also started cardio workouts and light resistance training but was wondering what else I can do.
Upon looking online, I've stumbled on keto diets as a method for weight loss. What do you think to this? I've seen some websites online that make custom keto diets and claim to use proven studies to create personalized ketogenic diet plans. I'll leave a link to one site that's interested me below:

Is this legit? It seems quite trustworthy in my opinion so I thought I'd share with you guys. Let me know what you think. Thanks a lot!

Hey FLB, welcome to the forum!

I know keto diets have worked for some folks, and I have tried them. However my greatest success has been with simple calorie reduction and making sure I am in a deficit. Otherwise I have just tried to eat a healthy well balanced diet. I have lost over 160 lbs this way.

Maybe just be patient. How long have you been doing this? I suggest you start a diary on the Weight Loss Diary page and tell us more about yourself and your goals, that will get you more help and attention.

The mistake I and many people have made is not eating the right amount of calories, not doing weight exercises, but only cardio. Here are very useful tips, thanks to this I was able to regain my health and lose weight properly. Your nutrition also has to be balanced!
