Hey there my fellow comrades,

I am 23 years old and live in Switzerland.
My English might suck a bit but i'll try my best.

I'm new to this forum, to be honest this is my very first time joining a forum and actually posting something.
But i thought this may be a good English exercise for me and i might as well meet some new people that struggle with the same or similar issues so why not give it a try.

I was overweight all of my life, and i've allways struggled and failed to lose weight, everytime i lost a good amount of Weight i bounced back even worse (probably because i never did it in a healthy way)
In September last year i stepped on the scale and was shocked to see i was 330 pounds. This was the heaviest i have ever been.

So i decided to make a change, but this time for the rest of my life and not just for a few weeks.
I started working out for at least an hour a day and eating healthy in a way that i am able too stay with for a Lifetime.

Over the course of a year i lost 110 pounds. i'm quite proud of that.

BUT, here comes the but...

Since 2 months i am stuck at 220 pounds and this is probably the main reason why i wanted to join a forum or seek for people that may had experience with the same problem and can give me a few tipps or something.

I also would be pleased to help others (if i can) that want to make a change in their life by sharing the experiences i have made and the Things i have learned.

Thanks for reading trough my chaotic first post, hopefully its not too bad.

Looking forward for some good, informative and helpful discussions with all you guys.

Have a wonderful day.

Hi and welcome

Wow,
That’s so impressive! Way to go! For the first time in my life I’m losing weight in a healthy way, I feel good, and I plan to keep it off. My tactic is to be very consistent, no exceptions. I might be treating weight loss as an exact science, because I’ve been measuring as much of everything as I possibly could (food, exercise, time), but hey, it’s working and I know what I’m doing, unlike my previous attempts.

Please, share, how did you do it, and what ade you doing now?

You can also message me if you’d like a buddy on your journey.

Hey, thanks for your Reply

Well first when i decided to change my Diet and my Fitness i just cut out sugars and carbohydrates and Started to workout a bit, and allready the weight seemed to just fall of me.

Then i started Reading into nutrition and tried to eat as Healthy as i could and also increased my Workout (started running, cycling and hiking)

But i never really kept track of anything to be honest i just stepped on the scale once a week, i never counted calories or anything like that.

Now, since i stopped loosing anymore weight and stuck since about 2 Months, i Start to Count Calories so i actually know how much i'm eating. (or at least i'm trying to, i'm having a bit of a hard time getting into it)
I will probably try to Eat less and Increase my physical activity again.

Hopefully i will get some Results because i slowly get kind of frustrated with being stuck.

PS: i'm always up for a chat

Basically, counting is super easy if you prepare your own meals. If you can plan what and how much you are cooking and when you are eating it. Otherwise, you have to have a clear idea of how much 100 gr of every food is just by looking at it. Comparing meat to a deck of cards, or a potato to a golf ball. Socially, it’s a little uncomfortable, but I still do it without anyone even knowing - I just estimate and write it after the meal.

The easiest way to eat, not be hungry, and have energy, but be losing weight in the same time, is eating every 2 hours, but that’s not always possible.

Knowing exactly what you’re eating is great, even when you overeat, because you know how much to burn.
