Good day all...

I'm here for the same reason everyone else is...to lose a pound, a hundred times or so.
But this week, just one will do.

I'm a gardener, dog mom and fulltime domestic engineer. I enjoy reading almost as much as food (thank the gods books aren't fattening!) and love a lively discussion.
I'm not doing a "plan" - I gained 120 pounds sitting on my arse in a cube. I'm no longer chained to the cube, so it's time to get in gear.
I lift weights and walk, try to practice portion control and not eat an entire can of frosting in one sitting - I'm kidding really.
I threw all the frosting away.
I'm motivated and dedicated and want to stay that way. I'm hoping to find friends and support here, and will do my best to return the gifts gratefully and with as much humor as possible.

welcome Kim, you'll find plenty of support, encouragement and friendship here... glad you found your way in...

Feel free to start up a diary to record your challenges and your victories.. and allow us to get to know you better.

enjoy and have fun

hi there desperate mum here, just read your letter above and i think it is great that you are satying posative with everything. i feel like i am falling apart. i am trying to loose weight but it is just not happening i have been doing exercises and eating a controlled diet but it isn't happening. well hope things are going well with the diet and hope to here from you

WELCOME KIM!!! I totally hear you on cubies!!! I gained a lot of weight when I started a job in a cubie!

Thanks for the welcomes!

I will definitely be starting up a journal/diary kinda thang.
My online time is a bit short these days - gardening and a new volunteer gig have me outside sweating and working out (hauling mulch and weeding counts as working out) Clipping hedges is definitely arm and shoulder exercise.
LOL
