Newbie Here

hello, im 17 and ive decided to try and commit to a routine to build add some muscle to my body. i am 120 pounds at 5'5''. short and skinny. i was wondering about how one would add weight to my skinny body? i have a fast motabolism. no meat in my arms. so i would like help on gettin some of those.

i also have this exact thing


in my basement. could i use this to my advantage? other than that i have a treadmill and nothing more. no membership at a gym or access to one. any advice on what my weekly routine should be? thanks a lot guys.
 
Hi there. If you want to add muscle I would suggest getting some free weights. It's the best way and not expensive. If your in the UK argos is the cheapest to get going with. A 50kg cast iron set will set you back about £60 and the good thing with free weights is you can easily buy more when you need more. Plenty of other benefits of using free weights but you can research that if it interests you. Then go on Weight lifting 101 on the forum and pick a routine that fits what you want to do. Make sure you understand how to do the exercises though as you don't want to develop bad form to start with. There's plenty of help to be had with all that on the weight lifting forum.

Oh and get the diet right too, that's very important. You will have to eat a lot of carbs and protein but thats covered amply in the forum aswell.
