Newbie here....

Hello all,
I've been reading the replies you all post and you give such great advice I figured I might as well ask for help, I sure need it. please help if you can.

I'm a 30 yr.old woman, I used to have an amazing body but now I am soo unhappy with my measurements.
I'm 5'7" when I looked and felt my best I weighed 175lbs. but I heard somewhere that taht was not a healthy weight so I dropped down to 150lbs. and IMO I looked horrible. I don't want to be slim it just doesn't suite me but now the scale is reading 195lbs. :( I'm so ashamed of myself and I really have no clue as what to do next, I can't just give up I don't want to be fat.
I'm so depressed I've been going to the gym for the past month doing cardio for about 30 min. trying to work myself up to more but I'm not seeing any positive change.
I want to lose 20lbs. and tone up my muscles.
Would someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think if I do
45 min. cardio
30 min. in the steam room
and go to the weight machines and do 3 sets of 13 on each i think i could achieve the look I want. ?
I'm so confused. I've changed my diet and I'm eating healthy no cheating at all, but I still am getting nowhere. Thanks in advance.

This may help a little

First of all, hopefullysoon, welcome to the forum. Hopefully these suggestions will get you on your way to reaching your goals. First of all, try to eat 5 or 6 smaller healthy meals a day, approx 2-3 hours apart. Also drink lots of water. As far as working out goes, I personally think that free weights are a beter alternative to machines or you could incorporate both into your workout, but I wouldn't just rely on machines. Also instead of doing 45 minutes of cardio, try doing HIIT, I believe it is more effective and takes less time. As far as the steam room goes, you'll have to get another opinion on that, I'm not really sure how much effect that it has on weight loss. Hope this helps at least a little. Best of luck to you in reaching your goals

Thank you so much for your response, I was thinking of switching my cardio due to boredom. I'll try almost anything at this point.
I'm currently drinking almost a gallon of water a day and if the steam doesn't help with the fat loss it at least makes my skin better looking.
I'm considering hiring a personal trainer I'm just not sure if it will be worth it.
Thanks again. :)
